The main aim of the Finance Informatics study programme is to prepare interdisciplinary specialists who would have a wide systematic scope of theoretical knowledge and practical skill in the fields of Informatics and Finance. Graduates of Finance Informatics are able to understand and apply the knowledge of information technologies, mathematics, modelling, software development, system analysis and methods of data analysis; graduates are able to efficiently analyse, evaluate and solve business problems in various financial institutions and business organisations.

Required features and skill:

A potential student of Finance Informatics should be an open-minded person with interest in modern achievements of information technologies, economic development and financial applications in organisational management, and who follows the issues and steps taken to prevent financial crises and economic difficulties.

Peculiarities of the study process:

The students of Finance Informatics will learn to use not only the most modern information technologies, design and develop business information systems, but also various types data analysis, financial and bookkeeping software, perform a scientific analysis of a problem and financial flow management by means of information technologies.

Graduation:

The programme ends with the defence of the final (BA) thesis. Graduates are awarded a bachelor degree in Informatics.
