Graduation Ceremony of Vilnius University Kaunas Faculty Class of 2024

Untitled design 10On 26 January, a graduation ceremony of Vilnius University, Kaunas Faculty took place at the Historical Presidential Palace of the Republic of Lithuania in Kaunas (Vilniaus str. 33).

The graduates were greeted and awarded their diplomas by Prof. Dr Vilmantė Pakalniškienė, the Vice-Rector of Organisation Development and Community Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr Giedrius Romeika, the Dean of the Kaunas Faculty, and the Director of the Institute of Social Sciences and Applied Informatics Assist. Prof. Dr Indrė Ščiukauskė.

Congratulations were extended by the Chair of the Bachelor programme Information Systems and Cyber Security (taught in Lithuanian), Assoc. Prof. Dr Vytautas Rudžionis, the Chair of the Bachelor programme Information Systems and Cyber Security (taught in in English), Assoc. Prof. Dr Ilona Veitaitė, the Vice-Dean for Infrastructure and Development, and the Chair of the Master programme Financial Technology (FinTech), Assoc. Prof. Dr Saulius Masteika and the Chair of the Master programme Economics of Sustainable Finance, Prof. Dr Kristina Rudžionienė as well as the Chair of the Master programme Art Management Assoc. Prof. Dr Audronė Rimkutė.

The graduate of Information Systems and Cyber Security programme, Dovydas Grabauskas, congratulated the participants on behalf of the graduating class. Giedrė Jablonskienė, a graduate of Art Management, and Tomas Krikštaponis, a graduate of Economics of Sustainable Finance, spoke on behalf of their fellow graduates. Tomas promised to continue his studies and pursue a doctoral degree.

Diplomas were awarded to 62 Lithuanian and foreign graduates.

Cum Laude diplomas were awarded to Evelina Cvilikaitė and Meftahul Islam, Bachelor students in Information Systems and Cyber Security. The Magna Cum Laude diploma was awarded to Aušra Molotkevičiūtė, a graduate of the Master programme in Economics of Sustainable Finance. Only five per cent of Vilnius University graduates receive such an award each year.

15 students successfully graduated from the Bachelor programme Information Systems and Cyber Security (taught in Lithuanian), and 17 students graduated from the same programme taught in English.

Master diplomas were awarded to 13 graduates in Financial Technology, 10 graduates in Art Management and 7 graduates in Economics of Sustainable Finance.

Mangirdas Kundrotas, a student of the Master programme Art Management, created a festive mood at the ceremony with his music compositions on the accordion. The event was hosted by students Ieva Gaučaitė and Indrė Bagdžiūtė.
