Students

Kaunas Faculty of Vilnius University - the leading university of Lithuania - located in another city – the city of Kaunas, the provisional capital of Lithuania. Kaunas is one of the greenest cities in the country, situated in a lovely embrace of the two rivers - Nemunas and Neris.  It is also known as the city of students who enjoy studying here. The faculty is located in the Old Town, in the heart of Kaunas, in the unique 16th-17th century buildings  where ancient spirit and modern technologies make a coherent whole. Exchange students can choose from over 60 courses taught in English.

The city boasts beautiful architecture, lovely parks and vibrant atmosphere. There is something for everybody to enjoy – from museums, theatre, classical music to cafes, various restaurants and night clubs.

International relations

Kaunas Faculty of Vilnius University fosters international relations with the world higher education institutions and other organizations through its active participation in international projects, student and academic staff mobility programmes and other academic, scientific and intercultural activities. The faculty takes part in academic exchange programmes with 81 European higher education institutions from Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and the United Kingdom. It offers and opens up new challenging opportunities for the students to seek universal education and wide range of competences through studying abroad. The faculty tries to do its best in helping newcoming students from abroad to integrate in the process of studies, other student activities and getting well acquainted with the Lithuanian culture.

Development of internationalization aims to guarantee the quality of higher education, stimulate the mobility of the academic staff and cooperation with other organizations and coordination of higher education with professional skills and experience in intercultural communication.
