The Institute of Social Sciences and Applied Informatics at Vilnius University Kaunas Faculty invites to the 35th seminar of Prof. Vladas K. Gronskas on „Leadership for Sustainable Development in the Context of Higher Education Institutions“.
The seminar will take place at 14:00 on 30 October 2023 in auditorium III (Muitinės Str. 8, Kaunas) and will be also available online on Microsoft Teams platform. The language of the seminar will be English.
About the speaker
Dr. João Eustachio is an economist, researcher, and project manager based at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, where he leverages his expertise in sustainability research, sustainability leadership, education for sustainable development, corporate social responsibility, and sustainability policy. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Economics from FEA-RP/USP, as well as a Master's and PhD in Business Management from the same institution, João's academic journey was enriched by six months as a visiting researcher at the University of Economics in Katowice (Poland) and one year at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (Germany). In December 2022, he successfully defended his PhD thesis on sustainability leadership. Alongside his research pursuits, João currently acts as a project manager in four significant projects, including the European School of Sustainability Science and Research (ESSSR), Shared and Digital Mobility Hubs (Sponsor: EU / Interreg Nordsee), DiTTS – The Digital Introduction of the Sustainable Development Goals into Higher Education Teaching (Sponsor: Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst – DAAD), and Ukraine-Nature (Sponsor: Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt – DBU). His outstanding contributions in the field of sustainability leadership have been recognized with the Baltic University Programme's prestigious 2023 PhD Award for the best doctoral thesis, further solidifying his standing in the academic community.
