Today Kaunas city launches the 1st international congress of contemporary humanities “International Congress on Numanities – IcoN”.
On May 16-17, the 8th international scientific conference “Man in the Space of Language” took place at the Faculty; the conference is organised by the Department of Foreign Languages. The conference had over 60 participants from all over the world: United Arab Emirates, France, Turkey, Taiwan, Iran, Georgia, Russia, Belarus, Poland, Ukraine, Latvia and Lithuania.
On invitation by Professor at the University of Leicester (UK) Kirsten Malmkjær, Professor Dr. Loreta Ulvydienė (Department of Germanic Philology, VU Kaunas Faculty of Humanities) whose scientific interests involve intercultural communication and translation studies went on a 3-week internship to the United Kingdom.

On May 12-13, 2014, Vilnius University Kaunas Faculty of Humanities will be expecting a visit from Anna-Maija Lämsä, a professor at the School of Business and Economics, Jyväskylä University (Finland), to deliver seminars and consultations.

On April 2-3, Vilnius University Kaunas Faculty of Humanities (VU KFH) organised the 2nd international scientific conference “Thought Elaboration: Linguistics, Literature, Media Expression: TELL ME ‘14”. The event organised by the Department of Germanic Philology was full of innovative and diverse presentations as well as an impressive programme.
On February 10-14, 2014, Vice Dean and Associate Professor at Vilnius University Kaunas Faculty of Humanities Dr. Saulius Masteika participated in a report HPC Finance (Training in Modern Quantitative Methods and High-Performance Computing for Finance) project meeting in Edinburgh. As a representative of an associated partner of the international project, he was invited by the HPC Finance coordinator Prof. Juho Kanniainen (Tampere University of Technology).
