On February 10-14, 2014, Vice Dean and Associate Professor at Vilnius University Kaunas Faculty of Humanities Dr. Saulius Masteika participated in a report HPC Finance (Training in Modern Quantitative Methods and High-Performance Computing for Finance) project meeting in Edinburgh. As a representative of an associated partner of the international project, he was invited by the HPC Finance coordinator Prof. Juho Kanniainen (Tampere University of Technology).

International conference “Achieving Impact: SSH in Horizon 2020” in Greece was the place where Dr. Vilma Tamulienė (Department of Business Economics and Management) looked for international relations and collaboration possibilities that would involve research carried out by the scientists of Vilnius University Kaunas Faculty of Humanities.

The following interview is carried out with a graduate of the Faculty Mindaugas Vaikšnoras, senior specialist at the Department of Finance and Accounting, Druskininkai Municipality Administration who studies Business and Public Sector Economics at Vilnius University Kaunas Faculty of Humanities in 2008-2012.

Associate Professor Dr. Raminta Pučėtaitė (Vilnius University Kaunas Faculty of Humanities) presented the results of the research “The Status of Scientific Research Ethics in Lithuania” in an international conference in Jacksonville (Florida, US).

Kaunas Faculty of Humanities has few very special professors and more than a few exceptional students - that is our conclusion from our 3 days teaching course there, supported through the Erasmus program. We are independent curators from Zagreb, Croatia, running an non-for-profit curatorial organisation for 14 years called KONTEJNER |  bureau of contemporary art praxis. KONTEJNER is oriented towards critical examination of the role and meaning of science, technology and the body in contemporary society. KONTEJNER deals with investigative intermedia and interdisciplinary art projects referring to relevant phenomenon of today's art and culture, dealing with societal taboos and ethical systems, society of the future, intervention to to body by cybernetics, nanotechnology, biotechnology, etc.

The Incubator for Creation that aims at becoming the centre of attraction of creative students sang the Lithuanian anthem and Ukrainian songs. What exactly did the students celebrate on the 12^th of January?

On January 29 – February 14, 2014, Associate Professor Dr. Raminta Pučėtaitė (Department of Philosophy and Cultural Studies) and Associate Professor Dr. Rasa Pušinaitė (Department of Business Economics and Management) – the executives of a Global Grant project – paid a research visit to the University of Queensland in the sunny Brisbane (Australia).

On 15-16 October, 2013, Vilnius University Kaunas Faculty of Humanities held the final meeting of the international project HEUROPA partners. The organisers of the meeting were the associate professors in the Department of Lithuanian Philology Saulė Juzelėnienė and Rita Baranauskienė. The partners of the projects are scientists from Dresden University of Technology and University of Prague as well as representatives from language teaching centres in Krakow, Paris and London.
