Global Enterprise Born from a Dream
Founders and leaders of the internationally acknowledged enterprises “Today Translations” and “Today Advisory“ (http://www.todaytranslations.com/ and http://www.todayadvisory.com/) Jurga Žilinskienė and David Clarke have visited our faculty and held lectures for three days for students of various study programmes. Guests from London had an open discussion on the experience in establishing and expanding an enterprise, which once a dream turned into a global phenomenon now comprising 2600 linguists all over the world who translate to/from more than 200 languages.



VU KHF Department of Lithuanian Philology organised a seminar “Discriminatory Advertising: Lithuanian and Foreign Examples, Legal Regulation, Good Practice”. The seminar was held in Jablonskis auditorium on January 18 by Valdas Dambrava, the Adviser for Public Relations at the Office of the Equal Opportunities Ombudsman who had been working there since 2004. He gave a number of practical examples related with the requirements of equal rights, exposing the advertisements that may discriminate one social group or another.
