ukrVilnius University Kaunas Faculty is currently hosting guests from Ukraine. Prof. Dr Svitlana Gutkevych, Head of the Department of International Economics at the National University of Food Technologies has enrolled for a traineeship here. She is accompanied by students under the Summer Student Research Internship project organized by the Research Council of Lithuania (RCL). Professor Virginija Jurėnienė, who initiated the cooperation with the Ukrainian academic community, is a supervisor for the delegation.

Innovation in Business & Engineering education and training through sustainable learning

treciasResearchers at the Institute of Social Sciences and Applied Informatics of Kaunas Faculty of Vilnius University are implementing the project “Transnational cooperation initiative fostering developing forward thinking skills of students, teachers and workforce in sustainability-relevant sectors posed by Business 4.0 trends through innovation in Business & Engineering education and training”. From 8-12 May 2023, the project participants, Assoc. Prof. Dr Ilona Kiaušienė and Administrator Vaidilutė Kaminskienė, attended in a training course at the University of Western Attica, Athens, Greece.

15th International Conference “Culture & Creativity”

The conference is a great interdisciplinary platform for researchers, practitioners, and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and issues in these fields. We welcome discourse on the practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the realms of Cultural & Creative Industries, Creative Business, Arts & Culture Management and Marketing.

Graduation Ceremony at VU Kaunas Faculty

diplomu iteikimas vilniaus universiteto kauno fakultetasOn 23 June, 2023 (Friday) the VU Kaunas Faculty will hold the graduation ceremony for the class of 2023 at the Kaunas Lutheran Holy Trinity Church (Muitinės Str. 8a).

The event will also be streamed live via Kaunas Faculty YouTube Channel and Facebook page.

The Faculty courtyards will be open for guests of the ceremony from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Family members, friends and lecturers are invited to congratulate the graduates after the diplomas are awarded and are welcome to take photos in front of the Sundial or the VU KnF photo wall at the Linden Courtyard.

Photographs and video recordings will be made during the event.

PROGRAMME

From 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM the diplomas will be awarded to:
- Graduates of the full-time Bachelor study programmes: English and Another Foreign Language (Swedish), Audiovisual Translation, and Lithuanian Philology and Advertising;
- Graduates of the Master study programmes: Audiovisual Translation, Public Discourse Linguistics, and Lithuanian Literature and Creative Writing.

From 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM the diplomas will be awarded to:
- Graduates of the full-time Bachelor study programmes: Applied Systems of Finance and Accounting, and Economics and Management;
- Graduates of the Master study programmes: Marketing and Sales Management and International Business Management.
We look forward to seeing you at the ceremony.

During the Challenge, from the 1st of June to 31st of August, all members of VU community will compete on the physical activity scale: students, lecturers, researchers, administrators, and other employees. VU Summer Challenge invites you to challenge yourself and your colleague during the summer season, and to develop a healthy habit (or not to forget it during the holidays).

Expanding International Cooperation in the Master Study Programme "International Business Management"

2023.05.29 I.Šarkiūnaitės susitikimas su Manipal Centre for European StudiesOn 29 May the Chairwoman of the committee of the Master study programme International Business Management Assoc. Prof., Dr. Ingrida Šarkiūnaitė and one of the committee members, Assist. Dr. Rasa Bartkutė, met with the representatives of the Manipal Center for European Studies (Manipal Academy of Higher Education, India) Assist. Prof. Richa Gupta and Academic Affairs Coordinator Jyothi Kumar.

The guests aimed to discuss various possibilities of cooperation with the lecturers of the International Business Management programme in the fields of science and studies, such as preparing joint tasks, projects, as well as student exchange opportunities. "My colleagues and I from Manipal went through the programme structure in Master in International Business Management at Vilnius University and were so pleased to realize the mutual academic connect between the programmes offered at our institutions. We see a lot of opportunities for cooperation,” – the Academic Affairs Coordinator Jyothi Kumar revealed to the representatives of VU Kaunas Faculty.

During the lecture, Aušra will share her experience, lessons learned and some examples from designing risk management programs, processes and conducting risk assessments of different types, including organization-wide, onsite and cloud infrastructure, industrial control systems, critical infrastructure, IT systems and applications.
